No Way North - Cape Reinga

The northernmost accessible spot on the North Island of New Zealand, Cape Reinga, homes the iconic lighthouse that first went to light in 1941.

It hosts the northern meeting point of the Te Araroa Trail and the Te Paki Coastal Track.

No Way North...

The nature of either side of the peninsula is a great contrast, the rugged Tasman Sea to the West and open calm expanse of the Pacific Ocean to the East. The added wind of the day sure did emphasise the velocity of both seas meeting together, which can be clearly witnessed from above.
